A TYPICAL DAY
Professional Studies and Senior Apprentice quartets receive 5 private coachings per week and play once or twice in master class, working with the Colorado Quartet and important guest artists. There is a concert at the end of each week. Depending upon repertoire chosen and experience level of the quartet, some groups can do one work per week; others choose to polish one large work over the two weeks, performing half of it the first week and the complete work at the end of the festival. Each quartet is assigned one or two Apprentice or Junior AP groups to coach and mentor; often groups will choose to team-coach, but this is left at the discretion of each group. There is plenty of unscheduled time for intensive rehearsals as well as for outings to the beach!
